Ace of Spades Records Official Launch Party!

In addition to my music industry skills module, we had to organise and create an event which connects to our record labels. When addressing this part of the module, many ideas were put out as to what the event would be based on. Examples are an open mic night, a live performance like a concert, or just a party. I decided to base the event on the launch of the label. it was a chance for out current following and our artists to come together.

A lot of planning and organisation was needed during this module when focussing on the event. We found the venue which was close to city-centre allowing for easy and cheap access for our audience. On the night we had a turn out of about 20 - 30 people which was a success as we had only been up and running for about 5 - 6 weeks. I spoke to members of the audience after the event asking their opinion and they were all happy to have come and they had a good time. I really enjoyed this module and it helped me develop my communication, organisation and business skills and establish a basic understanding of the production processes contained in running a record label.
